Wild Colorado Country & Big Bulls.

Fully guided elk, mule deer, and pronghorn hunts across the Front Range and Pike National Forest — scouted units, wall-tent camps, field care, and pack-out. We handle every detail. You bring your tag.

The Outfit

A string of horses and a couple of wall tents in 2007. Eighteen seasons on, still the same idea — put good hunters on good animals, and handle everything else.

We hunt the country we grew up on. The dark-timber benches and high parks of the Tarryall Mountains and Pike National Forest, the high-desert transitions where the heavy bucks live, and the shortgrass prairie out east where the pronghorn run. Cole and our team scout these units year-round — we know which bench the elk move through at first light in October and where the bulls go once the pressure's on.

Everything is included so you can focus on the hunt. Wall-tent or lodge camp, meals in the field, glassing and calling, the spot-and-stalk, and full field care and pack-out when you connect. We help you build preference points, draw the right tag, and find OTC opportunities well ahead of the deadlines. You bring your weapon, your boots, and your tag — we handle the rest.

What Our Hunters Say

18 seasons guiding the Front Range. Here's what a few of our hunters had to say.

★★★★★

"Booked an archery elk hunt with Marisol and she called a 6-point bull in to 35 yards on the third morning. Wall-tent camp was comfortable, food was great, and they packed the whole animal out for me. Best week I've ever spent in the mountains. Already rebooked."

"First guided mule deer hunt and Wapiti Ridge made it happen. They helped me draw the unit, then glassed up a heavy old buck on day two and walked me through the whole stalk. These guys know their country. Cannot recommend them enough."

Frequently Asked

Tags, draw strategy, what's included, what to bring — the essentials.

Do I need a Colorado hunting license and tag?
Yes — every hunter needs the appropriate Colorado tag for their species, unit, and season. We make it easy: we walk you through Colorado's draw and preference-point system, recommend which units to apply for, and help you find over-the-counter (OTC) tags where they're available. Draw deadlines come early in the year, so the sooner you book and talk strategy with us, the better your odds of the right tag.
What's included, and what do I bring?
Guided hunts include your guide, wall-tent or lodge camp, meals in the field, glassing and calling, the spot-and-stalk, and full field care and pack-out of your animal. You bring your weapon, ammunition or broadheads, broken-in boots, weather-appropriate layers, and your tag. We send a complete packing list and a pre-hunt call once you book.
What should I bring on a hunt?
Your weapon (bow or rifle) and broadheads or ammo, boots you've broken in, layered clothing for cold mornings and warm afternoons, a daypack, optics if you have them, your tag, and your Colorado license. We send a detailed packing list once you book so nothing gets forgotten. Drop-camp hunters get a fuller list since you'll be self-sufficient in camp.
How physically demanding is a backcountry hunt?
Elk and mule deer hunting in the Front Range is real mountain hunting — expect early mornings, altitude, and miles on foot over rough country. You don't need to be an elite athlete, but you should arrive in good walking shape with boots you've broken in. Pronghorn on the plains is easier walking. We tailor the daily effort to your fitness and tell you honestly what to expect.
What's your cancellation and weather policy?
Hunts cancelled by you with 60+ days' notice receive a refund of your deposit less a booking fee; inside 60 days the deposit can be applied to a rebooked season. We hunt in most weather — fall storms often move game — but if conditions are genuinely unsafe we'll adjust the plan. Colorado weather changes fast; flexibility is part of the deal.
How many hunters per guide?
We keep ratios low. Most guided hunts run one or two hunters per guide so you get real time on the glass and in the stalk. Drop camps are sized to your party. Larger groups are no problem — we just add guides and camps so everyone hunts well.
